Synopsis:  She didn’t know what she was missing…until he found her.

Maxwell Knight was positively trouble, dangerously good-looking, and seductively charming. He was everything Jeanella didn’t need in her life. Only Maxwell didn’t see it that way. His pursuit was relentless, making her even more determined to push him away.

Fresh out of college, life was simple and plain for Jeanella Mefferd. Every part of her life was smooth sailing; her friends, her job, and even the guy she’d started dating. Then one night, while at dinner, she spotted someone who made her feel things she’d never felt before—dangerous, heart pounding and breathless heat. Thinking she would never see him again, she brushed it off, but when she started to run into him unexpectedly, all she could think of was how he made her feel with his sweet flirtations. Everything about Maxwell Knight screamed trouble, especially when she found out he was her new boss’s son. Now, heading to a New York fashion show, would she be able to focus on her career instead of Maxwell, who had been scheduled to attend with her? As much as she tried to forget their encounters, his good looks, smooth words and determination to win her over gravitated her toward him. The next thing she knew, her mind was utterly consumed by him. Would she be willing to ignore all the dangerous signs and jump into his arms? Or would she miss out on the chance of finding something great?

Disclaimer: I'm not being paid in any way to give a modified opinion about this book. This is my true reaction.

3 Stars, I can't give it no more.

The best way to describe this book is as a mild sexually charged romance with a lovely (but somewhat annoying) insta-love. Because even though I felt some connection between them, Jenna and Max, the things got intense waaay too soon. I havent felt in love with a bad boy, ever (I had crushed on them, sure), so maybe Im not in position to judge, but it seems highly unlikely that a guy who's been sleeping around all of his life would decide to take the highway with a girl just because she looks sweet and innocent. Oh well, hating double standards here.

I always remember something that a girl from Cruel Intentions, what she said was basically that she was tired of having to act like a perfect lady who went to church and was prude and didn't say bad words when she was just a beast sex and she wanted to enjoy just as much as her stepbrother, who could do so and was just "the man" for getting laid like there was no tomorrow.

Obviously, there are fine lines with that kind of behavior, and I'm not going to get into that.

My real point here BEING what the fuck? Jenna didn't really do anything special to make Max fall for her, she was just very naive and she giggled (God, she giggled) and blush and stammered a lot. There wasnt any substantial real deep moment before he was making declarations of love and that he had found basically the woman of his dreams. What? She is just special because she doesn't know much about sex? That's so bullshit.

He even asks her once while doing it how many guys have she slept with. I kid you not.

What the hell is that kind of question while having sex? He obviously was utterly happy finding out her lack of experience. Also, there were editing mistakes. I hate when authors don't use synonyms. They are wonderful things, you know?

Regardless, I did enjoy the book. Boohoo, me sucks. I'm criticizing this so much, but Im not going to lie to myself, yeah, it was fast paced, the guy was a hottie, and the sexy moments didnt bore me, they weren't jumping each other's bones like bunnies is what I mean. I liked it. So go ahead and buy it but don't expect any profound breathtaking love story. This is what I like to call a no brainer read.
